The 60's were totally awesome. When we were in school we use idiums different then today i.e "Narley," "Far OUT," "Bookie Boss, and the untimate...BFD! "Big Farm Dog." The coolest places they seem to come up was the weekly after school dance at the Dinuba Memorial Buildung. We danced to "Michael and the Jesters,"[Dinuba graduates], "The ACCENTS," "PEACE,"and several other Dinuba local bands. How about across from the HS Marque; a local family owned fast food Drive Inn call "Voyles." One block down the street was anothe local family owned Drive Inn call the "Snow White." Both places had loud music from the 60's and the food was great! The ultimate was "The Crimsome Castle on Van Ness in Fresburg [Fresno]. Many surrounding high school students attended. The music was loud and ed by professionally performed large bands like Neil Diamond, Straberry Alarm Clock, Twelve Miles Out. Drag'n main street on a Friday and Saturday night in most town's in the 50' N 60's was a weekly event and the town was jump'n with anticipation for fun. Today...It is only a memory...

Sorry Cinci. The Fiesta has changed propriety numerous time but it has not been successful as the original family who ran it. You can still see "Lou" at different athletic high school sport activities and such. The town and its population is changing, and many things and life styles that use to be also. Ahh....Yes...Remember "End Beach," in Reedley? Where you could go and suck face all night and talk about the lady ghost who continually searched for her child who was supposedly killed by the ghost who had a large knife and one arm...Ohhhh.........Aren't you just scared!!!Man! There was nothing like making out in the back of a hot car or truck. Too bad I do not have my "56 Chevy any more...It was a fun ride. Remember when us guys use to have the glove compartment covers chromed so we could see what we could see...Those were the days....Speaking of car fun Cinci you might consider attending the Dinuba Car Show in June...Its a day that is exciting in Dinuba. "See YOU at the reunion girl"...

I played in the local band, Holy Smoke, circa: 1968-69. One of our last dances was on Saturday night, July 19th. The next morning, the Apollo 11 astronauts walked on the moon. What a memorial experience for me. There were also 17 bands from the area who all competed with the Battle of the Bands held that summer,of 1968. We took 3rd place with a song called, "Time Has Come Today." I think there never has been so much excitement for teenagers ever in Dinuba since then. If you would like to listen to that recording of Holy Smoke, it's on my page with Chrome with the Holy Smoke page. Enjoy!
